500 Food Bags to Be Distributed to Community School Pantries
Our school goal was to make 200 food bags to be given to Whitney Elementary, a great community school up on the bench.
We exceeded our goal and the 500 bags made will be distributed to multiple community schools in the Boise area. Thank you Roosevelt community for donating food stuffs for kids to make the food bags.
From the Principal's Corner
Please be aware of upcoming bike lane and multiple sidewalk closures that will effect our neighborhood for approximately 2 years. The bike lane is located on the east side of 2nd St between Jefferson & State. Sidewalks impacted will be on the north side of Jefferson between 1st & 2nd St. also the west side of 1st between Jefferson & State.
Getting ready for winter and find your kids (or you) have outgrown their gear? Please consider donating coats, snow pants, gloves, and hats to our cold weather supply bin- donations can be left in the front office and will be put to good use!
Please do not leave cars idling in front of the school.
The playground and field is highly used during the evenings and weekends. We want this to continue to be a place for friends and families to gather. Please help us by picking up after your dogs. We have seen a dramatic increase in dog messes left on the playground, which really impedes student play during recess.
